This endeavor is more than just bricks and mortar; it’s a testament to the enduring friendship and shared vision between friends. My partners in the building are 2 of my very best life-long friends. Dr. Kavita Shah Patel is an Internal Medicine physician (see her info below) and our 3rd partner is a physical therapist (more info on her practice coming soon).

Our building isn't just a place for medical care; it’s a labor of love born out of our commitment to creating a warm, inviting, and judgment-free space for our patients. We wanted to go beyond the traditional cold, sterile doctor's office and build a sanctuary where everyone feels welcome and cared for. Our vision was clear from the beginning: to craft a space that feels like a home away from home, where patients look forward to their visits and feel embraced with open arms.

From the initial blueprints to the final touches, every step of this journey has been infused with our dedication and passion. We've poured our hearts into every detail, ensuring that our new medical building reflects the warmth and compassion we hold for our patients. The design is thoughtful and intentional, with spaces that promote healing, comfort, and community.

While the construction is still underway (see our progress below), we are bursting with excitement and anticipation to share this beautiful space with all of you. We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome you to a place that embodies the essence of our commitment to exceptional, heartfelt, holistic care.

Kavita Shah Patel, MD - Internal Medicine

Comprehensive, compassionate medical care with a personal touch

In 2011, Dr. Kavita Shah Patel opened her outpatient practice in the medical center to begin her dream of providing comprehensive, evidence-based, compassionate care to all individuals. She accepts most insurances and has affordable cash pay plans.

As a solo practitioner, Dr. Shah Patel's aim is to create the highest quality practice that is personal, professional, and above all, puts the patient first. Her goal is for her and her team to truly know every patient, and to tailor treatment to their particular needs. This personal touch is often lost in large, overly busy practices.

Every patient has 24/7 accessibility to Dr. Shah through calls, emails, and secure texting and timely responsiveness is a top priority for the practice. Incorporating input from her patients and her team, she hopes to continue to provide comprehensive and compassionate care, listen to her patients with empathy and understanding, while offering state-of-the-art office technology and services.

Dr. Shah Patel completed her undergraduate training at The University of Texas at Austin and graduated summa cum laude. She completed medical school and Internal Medicine training at Baylor College of Medicine, and her chief residency in 1998. Over the past 20 plus years she has cared for critically ill patients in the acute care setting as a hospitalist at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, and in the emergency room setting at The Veteran's Affairs Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her passion is preventative medicine, patient education, and the management of acute and chronic illnesses in the ambulatory setting.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, and staying active with her children and her husband, Dr. Rupal Patel, an interventional nephrologist. She is fortunate to have a large extended family all located in Houston!
